If you’re looking to discover your artistic side there’s no better way than diving in the deep end with a hands-on art workshop. Art Est. Art School and Gallery in Leichhardt is a beautiful space with three teaching studios so there’s plenty of room for you to get creative.

With a range of different adult class options here, you can get a taste with a weekend workshop and then settle down into an ongoing weekly class. Workshop groups are small and range from beginners to advanced. You can also sample a bunch of different artistic mediums and choose your favourite, have a go at printmaking, sculpture, photography, painting and life drawing.

This is also a great place to bring the kids because they can unleash their creativity and learn a different way of expressing themselves. They run extra workshops during the school holidays and kids as young as 5 can get involved in weekly classes. With any luck you might even discover you’ve got a little Picasso on your hands.
