Eating Out: South Coast

The River Moruya
Get on down to the Deep South because there’s plenty of great restaurants and eateries just waiting for you to discover! The River in Moruya is a fine dining establishment that would give any good Sydney restaurant a run for its money.
The River is located in an exceptional environmentally sensitive building on the southern bank of its namesake, the peaceful Moruya River, with views to the mountains of the Deua National Park. The three passionate chefs are driven by fresh local produce and create such dishes as trio of pork; the fresh local fish of the day; and desserts including assiette of citrus; and pear and almond tart served with vanilla cream.

Bodalla Dairy Shed
As you drive down the Princes Highway, make a pit stop at Bodalla Dairy Shed. Whether it’s a good old-fashioned milkshake you’re after or a burger in the diner by the jukebox, you will be swept up with nostalgia here.
It’s also a fantastic country dining experience as you sit on the swinging chairs on the deck and watch the dairy countryside. If you’re after a more homely meal you can enjoy such dishes as slow-roasted pork belly on a camp oven with local quinces and soft polenta; or panna cotta with mandarin compote and coconut tuile.
