Shopping and Markets in NSW
Tour a gallery and buy a print, shop for fashions – or check out an arts and crafts market unique to the region. In NSW, shopping is always an experience.
If you're keen on natural beauty products, unusual artworks, boutique wines and old-fashioned candy stores, NSW's Blue Mountains has you sorted on the shopping front. You can also hunt down that first edition in a fine old bookstore, snap up souvenirs and gifts, invest in a new pair of Ugg boots or save your money for market days in Katoomba, Leura, Blackheath and Falconbridge.
Opals, local providores, unique candle shops and sustainable living stores can all be found in the shopping precincts around Jervis Bay on NSW's South Coast. Tours of wineries are available, and the flea markets and craft bazaars in Milton, Huskisson, Mollymook and Nowra are also great for snapping up bric-a-brac, ceramics and second-hand fashion.
Love a quality drop? Shop at a local distillery on the Central Coast or check out the gourmet food scene at providores, cafes and the region's cheese factory. You can also take a tour of a lavender farm and shop for skin care products, or tour Ken Duncan's exclusive gallery and pick up a limited edition framed print.
The shopping's great on Byron Bay's high street, which features lots of alternative fashion, gift stores and shops selling new-age books and crystals. There's a community market held monthly in town and the monthly markets in Nimbin, Lismore and Bangalow are a good day out, too. In the region you'll also find collectables and old wares, pottery stores and gourmet produce shops.
