If the instinct for adventure travel runs in your blood, New South Wales is your natural habitat. It's got the lot - diversity of terrains and weather that will give you plenty of choice when it comes to adventure sports.

Abseiling, canyoning,caving and rockclimbing in NSW

NSW has plenty of natural attractions for adventure lovers in the Blue Mountains, the Snowy Mountains and in national parks such as the Warrumbungles and Bungonia. If you enjoy abseiling, canyoning, caving and rockclimbing adventures, you'll find plenty of opportunities to have an adrenalin-filled adventure.

There's nowhere in Australia that's better to start than in the Blue Mountains National Park. There are plenty of summer and winter adventures available with accredited tour operators. The Empress Canyon near Wentworth Falls is one site that combines abseiling with canyoning that has water jumps, exhilarating swims, waterslides plus great scenery.

Bungonia State Recreation Area near Goulburn claims to have the deepest canyon in Australia making it a very popular caving and rocklimbing location.

NSW has some beautiful cave systems to explore - Jenolan Caves and Abercrombie Caves, west of the Blue Mountains,Yarrangobilly near the Snowy Mountains, and Wombeyan Caves south of Sydney.
