The Tastes at the Bay Food and Wine Festival takes place from November 1 to 3 on the Nelson Bay foreshore – and whether you live in the area or make a special trip for this culinary celebration, the event promises to offer up the best mix of fine food, drink and entertainment anywhere in the area.
Make sure you sample some of the fabulous wines produced in the Hunter Valley and Port Stephens, as well as the delicious gourmet fare on offer from some of the region’s finest restaurants.
Of course, you’ll also find a great selection of entertainment throughout the festival – treat your senses to a bit of jazz, or if you’re visiting with the kids, check out the great range of family-friendly performances on offer.
A food festival is also a great opportunity to take the time to explore the area – from whale watching and swimming with dolphins to spending time in Tomaree National Park, there is no shortage of things to see and do!
A great option is to base yourself in accommodation in Port Stephens so you are well-positioned to explore – from cottages and B&Bs to inns and hotels, you’ll find all budgets and preferences are catered for.
Nelson Bay is the main resort area of Port Stephens – look here for waterfront accommodation options so you can make the most of its beautiful beaches and the gorgeous spring weather! The kids will love building sand castles and splashing in the surf – it’s a great destination for the entire family.
