My name is Hayden McLean, I grew up in the Southern Highlands with a life full of bushwalking and the outdoors through my father and cubs/scouts. I am a self-taught photographer, having found a passion in photography after going through a difficult time about four years ago.
After getting my first camera, I found a passion for landscape photography, specifically waterfalls. This has helped me explore hidden spots around my area and abroad by making my own way to the base of many of the waterfalls that not everyone can, which tends to give more of a unique perspective to my audience.
The Southern Highlands is a wonderful place to explore with a vast range of rivers and hidden gorges throughout the area, which also helps me to clear my head from the hustle and bustle of normal life. I’m pleasantly surprised that more and more people are taking interest in my work recently. I use photography as an escape, and am glad that I can show others the beauty of New South Wales and Australia.
Thanks for reading and taking interest in my work. Feel free to contact me if you want more details about me or any of my photos.
