This Is Not Art is Australia's premier independent arts and media festival, which is held in Newcastle each year over the October long weekend.

This Is Not Art (affectionately known as TINA) is dedicated to showcasing the work and ideas of communities not included in other major festivals, highlighting emerging trends and providing national networking opportunities for niche communities and the highly curious.

TINA is made up of four independent festivals - Electrofringe; National Young Writers' Festival; Critical Animals; Crack Theatre Festival and a string of festival focused projects and exhibitions.
