Pittwater and Coffs Harbour Regatta
A popular alternative to the Sydney Hobart yacht race, the annual Pittwater and Coffs Harbour Regatta attracts the cream of the offshore racing fleets for the 226 nautical mile race north. Dubbed the 'warm water classic' it leaves Pittwater on 2 January, bound for Coffs Harbour. The race offers competitors a strategic challenge, racing between the surfline and the current, past unsurpassed scenic coastlines, prior to arriving in one of Australia's most popular coastal cities.
In its 33rd year, the five race regatta is centred on the popular holiday destination of Coffs Harbour with four races in Coffs Harbour including sprint races followed by longer offshore races around the majestic South Solitary Islands.
A host of shore-side activities add to the regatta's appeal to sailors, families and friends as they combine their love of yacht racing with the appeal of a 'Summer Holiday'.
