Parkes Elvis Festival
It's been over 37 years since Elvis left the building, yet an expected 18,000+ Elvis fans will gather in the Central NSW town of Parkes, doubling the population, to celebrate Elvis Presley's birthday in January.
Roustabout is the theme that has been announced for the 2015 Parkes Elvis Festival which will take place from 7 to 11 January in Parkes, NSW for the 23rd consecutive year. The Festival began back in 1993 to celebrate the birthday of the King of Rock n Roll and now 23 years later, Elvis' 80th birthday will be celebrated in true party style with a carnival atmosphere.
A five-day program of events featuring favourites including free main stage entertainment, look-a-like contests, Tribute to Elvis Competition, The Elvis Street Parade, opportunity to renew your wedding vows, displays of Elvis memorabilia (including Greg Page's: The Kings Castle), Elvis Gospel Service and more than 150 unique Elvis-style events.
