Nundle Go for Gold Chinese Easter Festival is a celebration of Nundle's gold fields history and the Chinese that were here in the mid to late 1800s. There will be Chinese entertainment from the Australian Yau Kung Mun Dragon and Lion Dancing Group, Magician, Australian and Chinese food stalls, market stalls (new stallholder bookings welcome), children's treasure hunt, gold panning and much more.

The Annual Festival, the north west region's second largest festival after the Tamworth Country Music Festival, is held on Easter Saturday and Sunday. The 2012 event marks the 160th anniversary of gold fields starting in Nundle and Hanging Rock.

The 2012 event will recreate a gold fields settlement of the mid 1800s with colonial street theatre, blacksmith, woodturning, wool spinning, sheep shearing, gold mining equipment display and much more. Colonial street performers dressed in 1800s period clothing will walk through the crowd entertaining people as they go.
