IRONMAN 70.3 Port Macquarie
Athletes from across Australia will descend on Port Macquarie in October to compete for the Australian Age Group Championship, with 30 qualifying slots to the 2015 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Zell am See-Kaprun, SalzburgerLand, Austria. Winners will also be awarded the title of IRONMAN 70.3 Australian Age Group Champion.
Taking place as a shortened version of the May Toyota IRONMAN Australia event adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, Port Macquarie is sure to not only challenge athletes physically but also inspire, with its natural beauty and strong community support.
Athletes will complete a 1.9 kilometre swim, 90 kilometre bike and 21.1 kilometre run.
IRONMAN 70.3 Port Macquarie remains one of the Asia-Pacific region's leading, and most enduring, triathlon events.
The weekend long activities include the popular IronKids event on Saturday 18 October, for kids aged 7-13 years and the Port Iron 5km Run Saturday morning. There is something for everyone.
