The October long weekend is the 2014 Coo-ee Festival in Gilgandra. The festival commerates the famous 1915 Coo-ee March, celebrating 99 years this year.
The weekend is action packed and full of fun and excitment. Kicking off Friday with free exhibitons and galleries at the Coo-ee Heritage Centre and then onto Friday night poetry competition.
Saturday enjoy the buskers and watch the parade bring the main street alive. Then onto Coo-ee Park with market stalls, entertainment, local tug-o-war, woodchop, Coo-ee Calling Competion, novelty games, children's rides, food stalls and much more.
Sunday holds children's entertainment in Hunter Park, Coo-ee cup golf competition, and live entertainment at various venues on Sunday evening.
Wind down on Monday at the Picnic in the Bush at Gilgandra Native Flora reserve, or take in a social game of bowls.
