Catherine Hill Bay Heritage Festival
***Details for this event to be confirmed***
The town of Catherine Hill Bay, (located 50 kilometres south of Newcastle and 130 kilometres north of Sydney), has been placed on the State Heritage Register - the second town in the State to receive this honour.
Over the October long weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, the town is celebrating its Back to the Bay Heritage Festival at the Old Bay School.
The grounds will be open during the festival under the Open Garden Program. Celebrity gardener, Linda Ross from the 2GB's The Garden Clinic (Saturday and Sunday morning 6am to 9am), will be running a number of kitchen garden workshops on growing your own vegetables, composting and organic feeding.
In the grounds will also be stalls, a gourmet barbecue, children's activities as well as Devonshire Teas under the Wisteria pavilion. An Art Show and Film Festival will also feature.
