During the Annual Rhododendron Festival the village comes alive with floral displays, annual art show, roof bolting, coal shovelling, and outdoor entertainment. This year the festival weekend will be held on the first weekend in November with the Grand Parade taking place on the first Saturday in November.
The Official Opening will take place at the New Ivanhoe Hotel and the Annual Art Show will be held at the Blackheath Community Centre. All items are for sale, with over 300 exhibits including traditional and contemporary works.
During the Festival weekend there will be over 100 varied stalls, activities and music for all the family. Other activities include the Rhodo Debutante Ball, the popular Jazz Festival, the Campbell Rhododendron gardens will be open for inspection and the Rhodo Festival Golf Classic.
