The Alabar Gold Crown Carnival runs for 10 days and is a mix of harness racing action (six race meetings) and social events. The social events include the Honouree Dinner, Golf Day, Gold Crown Ball and the yearling sale. Also the Miss Gold Crown Competition is held over the carnvial and entrants raise money for the charity chosen for the year.
The harness racing action lures the best two and three year olds in Australia to compete. The racing is exciting and the carnival offers prize money of over $500,000. There are several race book competitions included over the carnival and excellent meals available at the Gold Crown Restaurant and the Steakhouse.
So come and join 'the best gig in town'.
