Melanie Duncan’s upcoming exhibition is one for the ocean lovers and anyone who loves colour. Large canvases will leave viewers feeling uplifted and immersed in water. While smaller intricate collages, made from plant dye, bring people back to nature.
Initially set out as a homage to the ocean, Melanie’s love and experience in Australia’s outback has also crept into this show. Some pieces are inspired from the Ningaloo Reef coastline, Kimberley region and Central Australia.
Works will be on display at the Old Fire Station, Kiama, during the first week of September with the official opening Saturday September 2 at 2pm by 2017 Archibald finalist Ashley Frost.
