Distance: 111km south of Sydney

Start early for a day of sun and surf at Killalea State Park where famous surf breaks at ‘The Farm’ and ‘Mystics’ beaches are located within 250 hectares of pristine coastal reserve. Enjoy a picnic, go for a bushwalk or learn to surf at the region’s only National Surfing Reserve with Pines Surfing Academy. Celebrate your success over tapas, South Coast oysters or a degustation menu at Relish on Addison before taking a walk along the harbour foreshore at Shellharbour Village.



Distance:  Shellharbour to Kiama 17km

Next stop is Kiama and its famous blowhole which draws a huge crowd when the wind, tide and waves are pumping! Explore the fascinating Pilot’s Museum and visitor centre nearby for local walking maps and tips on where to eat. After a picnic overlooking the harbour or the beach, spend the afternoon paddle boarding with SUP Downunder. Drop by the Hungry Monkey for a meal before exploring the historic terrace houses on Collins Street, where you will find delightful shops selling crafts, collectibles and clothing. 



Distance:  Kiama to Shoalhaven 49km

A canoe and kayak adventure on the beautiful Kangaroo Valley River is sure to be a highlight of your getaway. With help from Kangaroo Valley Safaris, you’ll paddle along a serene stretch of the river, passing through beautiful sandstone gorges and glimpsing the wildlife. You’ll have hearty appetite afterwards so head to nearby Berry for a delicious feast at Berry Sourdough Cafe. Foodie highlights further south include Milton’s cafes and Cupitt's Winery, Brewery & Kitchen at Ulladulla.

Today’s itinerary has plenty of great options. Learn the age-old tradition of turning milk into delicious dairy treats at Bodalla Cheese Factory & Dairy Shed or join a diving, whale-watching or guided snorkelling tour with Island Charters Narooma. Food lovers will enjoy the rolling hills of the gorgeous and historic Tilba district where the Tilba Growers Market is held weekly.
