Narooma Cinemas is housed in the historic Soldiers Memorial School of Arts Hall which has been placed on the National Heritage Register. Screening films since 1928, it is the fourth oldest cinema in Australia.
The character of this Edwardian building has been maintained. Enter the main theatre and you are in yesteryear. Enter Cinema 2 and you see a touch of gold.
While the building and theatre creates old world charm, this boutique cinema has the latest digital projection system incorporating 3D.
The New York Metropolitan Opera shown exclusively on the south coast at Narooma Cinemas has continued to be enjoyed by all opera lovers, together with the British National Theatre Trust Plays, Cinema Live, new releases, art house and foreign films, giving great variety to theatre lovers.
Air-conditioned with comfortable seating - with choc tops and quality coffee - a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a movie.
Opening times
Open seven days a week school holidays and out of school holidays every day from Monday evening through to Sunday evening. All public holidays except Christmas Day.
