The Snowy Mountains is home to Australia's highest mountain range and tallest peak, Mount Kosciuszko.
The Mount Kosciuszko Summit Walk winds through the alpine scenery of Kosciuszko National Park, past attractions such as the Snowy River, Rawson Pass and Seaman's Hut, and on to the spectacular views from the summit of Mount Kosciuszko.

The spectacular alpine environment of Kosciuszko Area offers a wealth of natural attractions to explore, from the stunning vistas surrounding the mountain hikes, to the snowfields, rivers and lakes of the region.
During the warmer months, take your pick of kayaking, mountain biking, camping, bushwalking, fishing, rafting, caving, or horseriding. There are also some fantastic natural attractions to discover, such as the beautiful limestone caves of Yarrangobilly, furnished with a regal display of stalagmites and stalactites within their caverns.
A scenic drive along the Kosciuszko Alpine Way will also take you through some of NSW’s most dramatic scenery, making it a wonderful summer touring route.
Take a guided walk through the park and learn about the rare alpine plants such as the protected Anemone Buttercup and Feldmark Grass, some of which can only be found in this region. Hike to the top of Australia's highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko, for an inspiring one-day walk to the summit.
Another great way to experience the natural wonderland of the Kosciusko area is through fishing.
