Dareton
About Dareton
Dareton is located on the banks of the Murray River in the Sunraysia district, 25 km north-west of Mildura. Developed as a result of the World War II soldier settlement scheme, Dareton grew with the expansion of irrigation and the development of agriculture in the Wentworth area.
Today, there are many farms and orchards in the area where you can buy local grapes, dried fruit and citrus straight from the farmgate. There are also plenty of good riverside spots for fishing for Murray cod and golden perch and golf at Coomealla Golf Course.
