Gundabooka National Park - Bourke

Gundabooka National Park is approximately 50 kilometres south of Bourke. Mount Gundabooka rises to 500 metres and is the icon of the park.

Rust-coloured cliffs, rock art, mulga woodlands and walks to Little Mountain, Dry Tank, the Art site, and Bennetts Gorge are just a few of the areas to explore.

Day use picnic areas include Mulgowan, Bennets Gorge, and Dry Tank which is also a camping area. All have toilet facilities and picnic tables.

Dry Tank campsite has a camping and picnic area that is accessible by car and is large enough for campervans.

From Dry Tank there is a five kilometre walking track leading from the site through the mulga woodlands to nearby Little Mountain.

Bennets Gorge is a day use picnic area with barbecue facilities and parking.

From Bennets Gorge it's an easy walk to the Valley of the Eagle leading to the base of Mount Gunderbooka.
