Humminghills Alpacas - Carool

Humminghills is a working alpaca farm set on 65 acres in the beautiful Tweed Hinterland, just 15 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport.

With a herd of 75 alpacas, both Huacaya and Suri they have concentrated on colour and fineness of fleece. Baby alpacas are born throughout the year so any time is a good time to visit.

Humminghills offer hands on tours, feeding the alpacas, cuddling the baby cria and learning about these gentle, environmentally friendly animals and their exotic fleece.

Wear some sensible footwear and bring the camera as there are lots of alpaca hugs and cuddles and pictures to be taken.

On the farm they card alpaca fleece by using a very large carding machine, then spin, weave and felt making garments for sale in their Alpaca Craft Barn open throughout the year with an ever-changing array of hand crafted and unique products.
