The Tweed River Art Gallery offers magnificent panoramic views of the Tweed Valley. The stunning building houses six exhibition spaces, a performance area, an education/workshop facility, a library and the Gallery Café which serves fine food, coffee and delicious cakes.
The Gallery collects artworks of two main themes: Australian portraits of all eras and mediums, as well as works by regional artists depicting the local area.
Exhibitions change every 6-8 weeks and cover a variety of artistic mediums.
The Gallery’s program includes a wide variety of exhibitions, public events and educational activities for children and adults.
The Gallery is the proud home of the biennial $20,000 Olive Cotton Award for Photographic Portraiture and the Biennial CPM national Print Award. The Border Art Prize is also shown every other year for artists of the NSW/QLD border area.
