Newcastle City Hall - Newcastle
Opened in 1929, Newcastle City Hall is one of Newcastle's most unique and prestigious venues. Its old world charm and stunning architecture, including sandstone walls and pillars, marble staircases, clock tower and sweeping ballroom, is reminiscent of a bygone era.
Newcastle City Hall was originally designed to house Council administration and chambers. Although today Newcastle City Hall is used for a variety of social gatherings, its use as a council chamber and place of civic reception, and community gathering still remains. This includes ceremonial occasions, citizenship ceremonies, hosting of dignitaries and community forums.
The stunning concert hall, stage and upper gallery is frequently used by a wide range of community and commercial groups as a magnificent platform for staging a choir, orchestra, play or musical.
