Richmond Range National Park - Mallanganee
The extensive old-growth forests and rainforests of the Gondwana World Heritage Area provide visitors with a huge range of native flora and fauna. These internationally significant rainforests have an outstanding diversity of native plants and animals including many rare and threatened species. One local spotted gum, related to the more common form of spotted gum of the New South Wales east coast, is found only in a small area on the range. The park is co-managed under an Indigenous Land Use Agreement with the Githabul people.
The only safe two-wheel drive entry and exit point from the park is via Mallanganee off the Bruxner Highway 45 kilometres west of Casino. Roads are not open during wet weather. The park is 90 kilometres from Lismore or 120 kilometres from Murwillumbah.
Opening times
Open all hours during dry weather.
