Woy Woy is a holiday and lifestyle centre in the Central Coast. It lies on a shallow inlet on the western shore of Brisbane Water National Park.
About Woy Woy
An area of considerable beauty, Woy Woy is a quiet, easily accessible town with a relaxed seaside charm.
Opportunities for boating, swimming, fishing and exploring the surrounding waterways and national parks make this an ideal summer holiday destination.
Be sure to visit Bouddi National Park and the Seaside Village Markets every weekend at Ettalong.
Woy Woy was first settled in the 1820s and the local timbers, felled by timber getters and convicts, were used for boat building, which continued until World War I. Tourism and residential settlement began when the rail line from Sydney opened in 1888 and Woy Woy developed as a service centre for nearby coastal towns.
