Adventure things to do on the Central Coast
The Central Coast offers a wide range of adventure activities that vary from extreme such as hang-gliding at Forresters Beach, to more leisurely such as sailing on Avoca Lake.
Beaches, lakes, forests and national parks provide the perfect backdrop for adventure. Try sailboarding, kayaking or canoeing, go cycling along one of the many cycle paths in the area or follow a bushwalking trail.
Fish the channel at The Entrance for blackfish and prawns, or head out on a game-fishing boat or whale-watching cruise.
For mountain-biking and four-wheel driving enthusiasts, nearby Ourimbah State Forest has some exciting terrain.
There are plenty of family-friendly activities on the Central Coast. Take a trail ride through picturesque bushland in Dooralong at Glenworth Valley Horse Riding, Australia's largest horse-riding centre.
Kids of all ages will have fun in the tree tops atTreeTops Adventure Park in Ourimbah State Forest near Yarramalong. They'll have fun camping in nearby Wategan State Forest and taking easy bushwalks along the forest's beautiful Rock Lily and Lyrebird walking tracks.
