The Hunter Valley is one of Australia’s premier wine regions, producing world-class, high-quality wines that are enjoyed all over the world. The many vineyards and accommodation options in the area make the Hunter region the perfect place for a weekend away enjoying the culinary delights from the local producers from local restaurants.

When planning a trip to the Hunter Valley, in order to experience all the region has to offer, there are many Hunter Valley events worth including in your itinerary. Don’t miss the many regional markets, including the Gloucester Farmers Markets, which showcase the fresh produce of the farmers in the region, the Handmade Hunter Markets and the Hunter Wine Country Markets, both held in Pokolbin. The Hunter also hosts New Year's Eve and Australia Day celebrations, with events and activities taking place throughout the region, with long list of family friendly activities to boot.
