Events in Tamworth

Tamworth hosts a range of events throughout the year. Tamworth’s most famous event is the annual Tamworth Country Music Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the southern hemisphere hosting hundreds of performances over two weeks in January.

The town’s state-of-the-art venues and modern facilities make it a year-round hub for other entertainment and sporting events. A vibrant arts and culture scene is on display through various exhibitions, fairs and art shows hosted throughout the year.

The region celebrates its food, wine and produce with local growers markets, showcase lunches and other food events. The biggest of these is the annual 10-day Taste Tamworth Festival in April that features cooking lessons, workshops and organic food markets.
