Sturt Craft Centre - Mittagong
Established in 1941, Sturt is a national centre of excellence for the teaching and promotion of Australian contemporary craft and design. Sturt is a favourite destination for over 50,000 visitors each year who enjoy Sturt's inspiring Southern Highlands setting and magical cool climate gardens.
Awarded Southern Highlands Business of the Year for 2011, Sturt features a contemporary design shop that is the ideal place to buy Australian designed products for the perfect gift or the serious collector, a professional gallery showcasing Australian and international craft artists and a great cafe in a fantastic garden location.
Sturt maintains working craft studios in woodwork, ceramics, textiles and jewellery and offers classes, workshops throughout the year and a summer and winter school.
Opening times
Shop open daily 10am - 5pm. Cafe open Wednesday to Friday 10am - 3pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4pm. Closed Christmas Day
