It's time for you to discover what you’ve been missing. Bicycle Network is pumped to finally announce Newcrest Orange Challenge is returning bigger and better in 2017.
In the style of a European one-day classic, the Newcrest Orange Challenge is no easy cycle. There are no shortcuts. The quiet and car-free country roads are punctuated with sharp, tough climbs, never ending hills and challenging road surfaces that will put all of your training to the test. You'll be left with just enough energy in your legs to celebrate with a victory lap of the velodrome, and a sample of the local fare at the finish line Food and Wine Festival.
In 2017 you have two ride options:
170 kilometres: Tackle 2,200 metres of climbing during the day within a nine hour time limit.
70 kilometres: Descend from the heights of Orange at more than 900 metres, to the lowest point of 300 metres as you finish in Canowindra.
Bicycle Network will be by your side the entire way with full on-route support, including food and rest stops. They’ll take care of everything, so that all you have to do is ride.
