Mookerawa Waters Park - Wellington
Mookerawa Waters Park is located on the foreshores of Lake Burrendong, set in natural bushland and is part of the Lake Burrendong State Park. The closest town to Mookerawa Waters Park is Stuart Town, a small former gold rush town of approximately 300 people. The town used to be called Ironbarks which Banjo Paterson made famous in his poem "The Man from Ironbark".
Park facilities include a kiosk, picnic area, more than 200 camping areas 3 powered sites, 5 cabins, boat ramps and barbecue facilities. Mookerawa Waters Park is great for fishing, swimming, skiing, boating and just laying back and enjoying the sunshine. For the avid bushwalker there are many walks available from easy to the more difficult. Plenty of wildlife is visible such as wallabies, kangaroos, goats and sheep and birdlife is abundant.
Opening times
Accessible at all times, however a token is required for exit from the park. Purchase tokens during office hours 9am to 5pm.
