Macquarie River Trails - Dubbo
The Macquarie River Trails are nestled between - and link - established touring routes focused around the Warrumbungles, Mudgee wines, Lightning Ridge, the Darling River Run, the Cobb & Co Trail and the Animals on Bikes trail.
The five trails themes provide options ranging for water sports, nature-based drawcards, local produce, cultural heritage and cycling
It plugs a geographic gap and adds new and exciting opportunities to build on the region's most popular established tourism product, Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
Check the Macquarie River Trails website for your virtual tour. Here you will find just a few of the nearly 100 attractions, events and points of interest within the valley of the Macquarie River in the heart of NSW - a stone's throw from Sydney, the central coast and the Canberra region.
