Bill OShea Studio Gallery - Dubbo
Bill is a prize winning artist and recipient of a fellowship by the Australian Institute of History and Arts. Experience the wonders of Australia's landscape in all its glorious colours, painted in traditional style, with a visit to Bill O'Shea' s Studio Gallery.
William (Bill) O'Shea was born in Sydney in 1934, and is generally regarded as one of Australia's best selling painters. His works, distinctly "O'Shea" in style, dramatically and beautifully typify the Australian scene - the woolsheds, mining and farming scenes, shacks, timber mills, homesteads and pubs of Australia.
Bill O'Shea is typically Australian (fourth generation) and is contrary to the accepted 'artist image'. He began painting full time in 1974, after having worked in poster design, silk screen printing and also as a part time lecturer at the Sydney School of Graphic Arts.
