Nature in Berrigan
Berrigan offers a quiet, rural atmosphere with a nostalgic feel, but it takes on a carnival atmosphere with the running of the Berrigan Gold Cup horserace in November.
About Berrigan
This quiet, traditional country town with clusters of historic buildings is on the New South Wales - Victorian border, 22 km east of Finley. It is one of several towns in the local shire where dairy, cattle, wool growing and cropping are the main agricultural activities. The town also has a strong interest in horseracing.
Things to do around Berrigan include touring local wineries or enjoying a game of golf on the town's course. Historic highlights of the main street are the old post office, the Federal Hotel and Memorial Hall. It's just half an hour's drive to the Murray River or Lake Mulwala.
