Cowra is a city of surprises. Located in central NSW, it became home to several prisoner of war camps during WWII, including one for Japanese soldiers. It is now home to extensive Japanese gardens, premium wineries and war and railway museums. Amid the history of the town is a thoroughly modern restaurant, Neila, that serves its own version of Cowra's personality on its plates. Chefs grow many of the raw ingredients for their dishes, with others sourced from local farms. This top-quality produce, paired with the visionary menu, means dining here is a flavoursome adventure.
