Wyangala Waters State Park - Wyangala Dam
Wyangala Waters State Park is located a short drive from Cowra at the junction of the Lachlan and Abercrombie Rivers. The lake is a vast expanse of water and when full has a surface area that is two and half times the size of Sydney Harbour.
The surrounding area offers excellent accommodation and camping facilities. There are bungalows, cottages, cabins and even a couple of houseboats. There are also plenty of powered and un-powered grassy campsites with some backwaters camping areas for the more adventurous.
There are many activities available in the park including power boating, canoeing, sailing, water slides, walking trails and beaches just for relaxing.
Day Visitors are very welcome as the park offers excellent picnic and barbecue facilities. Fishermen can expect to catch Trout, Silver Perch, Yellow Belly, Cat Fish, Murray Cod and more.
Opening times
Park is accessible at all times. Office hours: 9am - 5pm, seven days a week
