Built in 1861, the heritage listed Commercial Hotel is one of several historic buildings lining the main street of Bundarra. Once visited by Fred Ward, aka the gentleman bushranger "Captain Thunderbolt", the hotel building is still very much in its original condition with its age-old charm still intact.
In recent years, the Commercial Hotel has been the proud winner of the Northern Regional Development Award for the preservation of the Hotel and for charitable fundraising activities within the community.
Accommodation is available at very reasonable rates and the clean comfortable rooms have recently been refurbished. The food is high quality with a menu offering a choice of hearty meals. The pub has a beer garden and a barbecue area for cooking.
