The twin cities of Albury-Wodonga provide a hub for the Murray region. The towns sit astride Australia's greatest river, the Murray, and are surrounded by stunning natural attractions just waiting to be explored.
Cycle around Lake Hume on the dedicated bike track or retrace the footsteps of bushranger, Dan "Mad Dog" Morgan, in nearby Henty and Culcairn, his old stomping ground.
Go kayaking or canoeing along the Murray River or take a bushwalk in the Wonga Wetlands, an ecosystem of lagoons and billabongs rich in birdlife.
Bushwalk around the waterbird wonderland of Quinn Island, hunt for crayfish along the banks of the Murray during crayfish season, or fish for the elusive Murray cod.
Lake Mulwala, west of Albury, is 20 kilometres long and a perfect venue for aquatic activities including water-skiing, kayaking and canoeing.
