Take the easy route to peaceful cycling on Boyd River loop, a 21 kilometre journey that follows fire trails and roads in Kanangra-Boyd National Park.
This is the perfect cycling adventure for just about everyone. Starting in the campground at Boyd River, this loop circuit takes bike riders south along Kanangra Walls Road before heading off down Morong Creek fire trail.
The going is easy; the track gently rolling with a crossing over Hanrahans Creek. Just past here, look for the Morong Falls fire trail on the left. The detour (7.3 km return) takes you to the falls and a beautiful natural swimming hole for cooling off on a hot day.
Back on Morong Creek fire trail, there’s a wet crossing over Morong Creek. Take Boyd River fire trail – the first on the right after the creek – and follow it back to Kanangra Walls Road. It’s a gentle coast downhill back to Boyd River campground.
