Katoomba is a popular holiday destination in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Surrounded by the Blue Mountains National Park, Katoomba overlooks Echo Point Lookout with views of the Three Sisters, one of the region’s most famous natural attractions. Scenic World and the Katoomba Falls can be found nearby, and there are also some beautiful bushwalks which depart from Katoomba. The area is also a haven for adventure sports such as rock climbing, caving and abseiling.

Katoomba and the greater Blue Mountains events calendar takes full advantage of the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains region. Yulefest is an opportunity to cozy up and experience Christmas in July at local cafes, restaurants and hotels, while the Winter Magic Festival brings Katoomba to life each winter with live music, performances, arts events, local markets and food stalls. Lastly, don’t forget the Summer Harvest Festival, which takes place in January and celebrates great local food and produce.
