Snow NSW Packages
In 2012, NSW snow resorts opened a week early and stayed open a week later than usual in one of the best snow seasons in years. What will 2013 bring? Start planning your 2013 snow holiday in NSW by finding out about the four outstanding snow resorts, all located within Kosciuszko National Park and all easy to get to by road or air.
Charlotte Pass is Australia’s highest ski village, accessible by over-snow transport from the Perisher Valley Skitube terminal. Once at your lodge, put on your skis or board and head out for a day on the slopes.
The best way to get to Perisher is by travelling along the Alpine Way from Jindabyne to the Skitube terminal at Bullocks Flat. It’s then a short train trip to snowfields that are the largest in the southern hemisphere.
Thredbo is also located on the Alpine Way – just drive in, park your car and enjoy the European-style ski village. You’ll also enjoy the longest runs in Australia.
Mount Selwyn is located in the northern section of Kosciuszko National Park, one hour’s drive from Tumut or Cooma. This drive-in resort is the perfect winter destination for families and beginners.
This year it’s even easier to get to the snow from Sydney by travelling with Brindabella Airlines to Cooma where you can get connecting transport to the snowfields.
