Sally Obermeder is Sydney born and bred. Her passion for exploring this great city of ours made her a perfect fit for the Sydney Weekender team when she joined in 2005.

We quickly discovered that as much as Sally loves getting out and about and taking on new adventures … from driving speedboats and swimming with the dolphins to indulging in chocolate, her true calling lies in the land of shopping!

Anything you want to know or buy from fashion to food, technology to toys, whether it’s markets or malls, we know Sally will find you the best bargains in town. Trust us, this girl knows how to shop!

Out on the road with Sydney Weekender, Sally says her favourite part of the job is meeting people from all walks of life and stepping into their shoes for a day. And sometimes those shoes are filled with adrenaline!

Not one to be ever stuck for words, Sally is a regular guest on 96.1FM and also a contributor to magazines such as TIME OUT Sydney and Skylar, in addition to her own feature in the Sydney Weekender Magazine.

Sally’s natural ability to connect with and entertain people means her skills as an MC and host are actively sought after. Tourism Australia, Westfield, the Boating Industry Association and The Red Cross are just a few of the high profile clients that have seen Sally hosting their events.

Incidentally, Sally is a fully qualified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor.
