Peter has a passion for adventure and travelling. He has visited nomadic desert tribes in the Sahara Desert, ventured through Africa, and in 2005 climbed the 6th highest mountain in the world in the Tibetan Himalayas. When he is not travelling, mountaineering, or chasing waves in Indonesia, Peter enjoys surfing Sydney's northern beaches and South Coast, and a stack of other outdoor pursuits, including ocean ski paddling. Peter has a degree in Applied Science and a Graduate Diploma in Town Planning, and worked as a town planner for a number of years before pursuing his dream job.
Peter joins the Sydney Weekender team to present travel and entertainment stories in and around NSW. “I’ve always loved exploring, being outdoors, and looking for my next adventure. I started capturing my trips on video, mucking around and interviewing the locals for fun. It just went from there.”
Peter is excited about teaming up with Mike and the Sydney Weekender crew, who bring the best activities, restaurants, and coffee shops into lounge rooms every Saturday night. “My first story with Sydney Weekender was surfing Crescent Head. What a place! It’s got everything – great waves, fishing, golf, kayaking, 4WD on the beach. There’s so much on offer, right on the doorstep. I’m looking forward to being the tourist and pinning down the best adventure, delicious meal, coffee, and the perfect chill-out spot.”
