The Mt Piper Power Station is Delta Electricity's newest power station situated 25kms west of Lithgow, in the Blue Mountains.
State-of-the-art design and technology makes Mt Piper a byword in safe efficient, environmentally clean energy production. You can see how it all works at the Energy Expo, located within the Power Station.
The Energy Expo displays contain both visual aids such as computers with touch screens to allow user interaction with the information system, and displays of real equipment used in the power station.

For those feeling fit enough there is exercise equipment to see just how much energy can be produced riding a bike, cranking a handle, or climbing simulated steps.
Much of the equipment in the plant is explained in the Energy Expo, including real examples of mill balls, coal, ash, fabric filter bags and a real section of a high voltage transmission line.

The guided tour takes you on a visit of the whole site where you’ll see the turbines, transformers and the operations room. Your guide will explain the workings and the intricacies of the power station.
