James knows “it’s only downhill from here”…well, on a mountain bike at Thredbo that is!

Raw NRG

These guys are in Thredbo and offer bikes for hire and lessons to hone your skills during the Summer months. The season goes until 30th April 2008.

If you don’t have a bike, just rock up and they’ll hire one to you. The hire includes all the armour you need to protect yourself (to some extent) if you stack it. Fingers crossed you don’t!

Included in the bike hire price is a guide who will assess your riding ability at the Skills Centre (an outdoor obstacle course of sorts so you can demonstrate & have your riding ability assessed). Then they take you up the chairlift, teaching you how to mount the bike on there and unload it at the top. Cannonball Initiation – they do a full run with you to see how you go and they will also point out all of the rules and regulations of the track, how to share it with other riders, where the trails break off, etc, etc.

Lessons

A private lesson is the ultimate mountain biking experience. Improve your skills in leaps and bounds with a personal coach to lead you on the ride of your life. Organize your own group or keep an instructor all to yourself.

Their certified and experienced instructors are trained to coach and assess riders of all abilities, from world champion downhillers to first time cross country riders. They are there to help build confidence and skills for those wanting to take seconds off their race times or those wanting to ride down to the shops!

Group Clinics
