Manly Markets

Reporter: SALLY OBERMEDER

There’s more to Manly than just the beach! Sal’s going back to school – Manly Village Public School that is … why? Because there’s shopping to be done there, of course! And while she’s in the area she’s checking out the Manly Arts and Craft Market as well!

Surrounded on three sides by water, Manly is the perfect destination to enjoy the harbour and the 18 ocean beaches, coves and inlets to swim, sail and surf.

But as the locals know, Manly is more than Sydney's premier beach resort. Whether you come by sea or road and take some time to discover its rich heritage and culture, its great shopping, dining and family attractions - it's well worth the trip.

Public School Markets

There are nearly 100 stalls filling the manly village public school markets.

Manly Arts and Craft Market

The Manly Arts& Craft Market is a must see if you are visiting Manly on the weekend.
The surprising thing about the Manly Markets is that no matter how many times you take a stroll through, you’ll always find something new and interesting. That’s because, in addition to the regular weekly artists, there’s a large contingent of regionally-based or interstate artists and craftspeople, who use the Manly Markets as their weekend retail outlet when visiting Sydney.

Unique handmade arts and crafts are a highlight with many works inspired by the local landscape, culture and lifestyle. Jewellery, paintings, photography, sculptures, homemade body care products and souvenirs can all be found here.

From the unusual to the unique, an impressive showcase of local handmade Australian arts and craft are on display with plenty to appeal to both locals and visitors.
Be sure to take your time, try your luck at bargaining and chances are you’ll be walking away with a very special reminder of your time in Manly or something that simply caught your eye…
