Forster Tuncurry Golf Club

Forster Tuncurry Golf Club has two diverse 18 hole courses.

The Forster course along with the main club house is located just off One Mile Beach at the end of Strand Street in Forster. A challenging seaside course with plenty of character and a very relaxed atmosphere, the 18 hole Par 66 offers the avid golfer a chance to score well at just 4868 metres - but don't be fooled by it's short length. The tighter fairways on the back nine, creeks, dams and bunkers can still throw a good round off track. Afternoon winds are common along the coastline and Forster is no exception with afternoon scoring conditions often a little more difficult.

The Forster Club House has magnificent ocean views as a backdrop. The fully equipped Main Bar with Club Keno, poker machine gaming area, billiard table and fresh cafe quality coffee has the right ingredients for a great night out. The Club Restaurant is open for Lunch and Dinner most days.

The Tuncurry Course formerly The Great Lakes Country Club, has to be one of golf's hidden treasures along the Mid North Coast. The 18 hole Par 72 layout will test all players of all abilities and skill levels. At 6203 metres from the back markers it can be a demanding layout. The course has been carved out of the seaside scrubland with natural rolling couch fairways and devastating scrub along the sides to catch wayward shots. The Tuncurry Course has the ability to absorb a lot of rain and with its sand base, is renown for being an all weather course. To find the Tuncurry Course follow the Northern Parkway, Tuncurry (turn right at the traffic lights at the TAFE college and just a short distance along a dirt road you will find the magnificent Championship Course beside the ocean).
