Family Dining

Need to feed the kids these school holidays? No worries, we’ve got two places that’ll put the school canteen to shame.

Seasalt Café and Kiosk

Seasalt is a smart bistro serving up beachside tucker. It’s open for breakfast & lunch 7 days a week. And dinner is served up Friday & Saturdays from November to April. Seasalt remains casual at night but owner Mark says the service is first class.

Catering for all types from casual business people, to those clad in swimming costumes, Seasalt is a mere 20 feet from the water situated in Bundock Park. It's in the original amenities and lifeguard building which was given a major renovation in 2001 by owner's Fiona Gallagher and Mark Lucas with seats for 100 downstairs and 40 upstairs in the private dinning area. This business also has a beach kiosk which is popular with the sun lovers and their children. The fit out was designed by Sydney architects Burley Katon Halliday to have an indoor/outdoor feel with modern Italian acid yellow chairs, chocolate brown tables, with stainless steel, concrete floors, and stained dark ebony timber.

Sitting above Clovelly Pool (a hotbed of swimming cap and snorkel wearers in summer) with views across to the crashing whitecaps of Shark Point, Seasalt needs little else to convince the crowds this is the place for lunching and lazing in Clovelly. You can sit on the terrace and have a fancy meal under the shady umbrellas, or grab ice-cream and chips from the takeaway counter and hit the sand. As the weather heats up, Seasalt (a perennial breakfast and lunch venue) opens up for moon-lit dinners as well.
