Carr’s Hunter Valley Macadamia Farm is surrounded by the beautiful Brokenback Ranges. Stuart & Margaret Carr have a magic 63 acre property of grazing lands, macadamia orchards, citrus trees, native gardens, natural bush & a mountain range.

In search of a change of lifestyle, Stuart & Margaret Carr, originally from the NSW Central Coast, decided to give the rat race the "flick" & move to the country.
They discovered the macadamia farm on Milbrodale Road (near Broke) in August 2003. Formerly run as a hobby farm, the 63 acres were crying out for attention.
The mountain range provides just enough protection for the macadamia trees from the severe winter frosts of the Broke region, but also this unique situation creates an ideal environment for growing the most delicious, sweet, juicy citrus fruit.
Stuart, a carpenter for twenty five years, has put his skills to good use on the property; repairing sheds, renovating the residence, replacing fences & watering systems, pruning the existing 300 macadamia & 350 citrus trees, planting more & finally building their new Coffee & Gift Shop.

During her twenty years as a piano teacher Margaret enjoyed working with people of all ages. This love of people has encouraged her to invite visitors to come and enjoy the macadamia treats & skin care on offer at the farm.
Visitors to Carr's Hunter Valley Macadamia Farm will have the opportunity to enjoy fresh roasted macadamias grown & processed right here on the farm.

Stunning views over the water make Billabong Cottage a special place to stay. Two large decks over the water and perfect reflections in the late afternoon make it hard not to relax. Read a book, absorb some vitamin D, sip a glass of wine or fish for silver perch in the dam. Branxton, their Muscovy duck, and the other water birds provide entertainment, while cranes, spoonbills, wood ducks and purple swamphens are seasonal visitors. A screened gazebo off the upper deck, soon to be covered with banksia roses, gives you extra shelter from the elements.
